Established in 2005, Maui Prep Academy is an autonomous college prep school for non boarders in K-8 grades, and in 9-12 grades for both day and boarding students. Maui Preparatory's plantation-style school is located amid once pineapple plantation sites and superb Norfolk pines around 10 miles up the coast of Lahaina. Maui Preparatory Summer Academy is split into 2 three-week blocks. The majority of students in each block decide on one specific major (1.0 credit) and 2 focus minors (0.5 credits each). With the exclusion of SCUBA, all majors happen in the AM session every day, Monday to Saturday. Each of the minors happen in the PM session, with most happening on Monday, Wednesday and Friday while the rest happening Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday.

Maui Preparatory generates a boarding experience that nurtures the mental and social progress of our participants. Our excellent teachers and support staff look after for participants with integrity and concern and facilitate their understanding and assimulation into Maui Preparatory kinship. Students in the Maui Preparatory Summer Academy soon grow to be a member of our ‘ohana (family unit) and make wonderful life-long friends during the programs, explorations, and enjoyable dorm group options.

Maui Preparatory supplies every meals throughout the Summer Academy period. Morning meal is supplied at the residential lodgings. Lunch is served on the main facilities Monday to Saturday. The evening meal is served every night and a brunch on Sundays at the boarding residence.

Throughout orientation and then nightly the residential support staff will offer introduction and group activities to foster kinship. Sunday is reserved as a particular experience day.
